Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
This page describes what data we collect when you use AI Dream Analyzer, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights. We aim to keep this document aligned with our actual technical practice — if you ever notice a discrepancy, please contact us.
1. Who we are
AI Dream Analyzer (https://dreamanalyzer.net) is operated by Funcin, an independent developer based in Italy. The service provides AI-assisted dream interpretation in multiple languages. References to 'we', 'our', or 'the Service' in this policy refer to this operator.
2. What we collect
Dream content you submit
When you submit a dream description for interpretation, we store the dream text, the AI-generated interpretation, the interpretation mode (smart or classic), the language, the AI provider used, processing time, and a non-personal device identifier in our database (Supabase). We retain this data to operate, debug, and improve the Service. We do not associate it with your name or email unless you provide one through the feedback form.
Usage and analytics data
We use Google Analytics 4, Plausible Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the Service. Depending on the tool, this can include your IP address (typically truncated by the tool itself), pages viewed, referrer, device and browser characteristics, country-level location, click and scroll behavior, and anonymized session recordings. Plausible is cookieless and aggregates data; Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may set cookies.
Information you send us
If you contact us through the feedback form or by email, we receive the information you choose to provide (such as your name, email address, and message) so that we can respond. Feedback emails are delivered through Resend.
Public submissions to /weird-dreams
If you submit content to the public 'weird dreams' gallery, the title, body, and the author name you choose to display are stored and may be shown publicly after moderation. Do not include personal information you are not comfortable making public.
3. Third-party services we use
The Service relies on the following processors and providers. Each has its own privacy policy and may collect data independently in line with that policy.
- Anthropic & OpenAI — we forward your dream text to these AI providers (sometimes via a Cloudflare AI Gateway proxy) to generate the interpretation. Their use of the data is governed by their own API terms.
- Cloudflare — serves the site (Workers), proxies AI requests (AI Gateway), and provides CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may log request metadata for security and reliability.
- Supabase — hosts the database where dream submissions, interpretations, and weird-dreams entries are stored.
- Google Analytics 4, Plausible, Microsoft Clarity — provide visitor analytics and usability insights as described above.
- Google AdSense — we participate in the Google AdSense program. Google and its third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
- Resend — delivers transactional emails for the feedback form.
4. Cookies and consent
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to remember your language preference and basic UI state. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense also set cookies for analytics and advertising purposes. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be presented with a consent banner that complies with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, and analytics and advertising cookies will not be set until you grant consent. You can change or withdraw consent at any time from the link in the footer.
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
- Performance of a service — processing your dream text to generate an interpretation.
- Legitimate interest — basic security logging, abuse prevention, and aggregate cookieless analytics.
- Consent — cookie-based analytics, personalized advertising, and any other non-essential processing.
6. Data retention
Dream submissions and interpretations are kept for as long as needed to operate and improve the Service. You may request deletion at any time using the contact details below. Public weird-dreams submissions remain online until you ask for them to be removed. Analytics data is retained per the third-party tool's defaults (Google Analytics: up to 14 months; Microsoft Clarity: up to 30 days for session recordings; Plausible: indefinite aggregate data only).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@dreamanalyzer.net. Because we may not be able to associate a request with a specific record without identifying information, please include enough context (approximate date of submission, the dream text, or the email used) so we can locate the data.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Service, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
Some of the providers listed above (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, Supabase, Resend) may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EEA. Where required, we rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or by a banner inside the Service.
